The Blue Lake Golf Course is a 9 hole course at 2,336 yards with a par of 32.  The golf course is open to the public.  It is on the south side of Lake LBJ and has views of the lake.  Located off Hwy 71 at 214 West Bluebonnet Road in Blue Lake which is now part of Horseshoe Bay.

This beautiful 18 hole public golf course is located in Burnet, just a few miles and a scenic drive from Horseshoe Bay. The course offers a pro shop, driving range, putting green, snack bar and dining room overlooking the number eighteen green.

The Hidden Hills Country Club is a public golf course located in the gated golf community of Meadowlakes adjacent to Marble Falls. Beautiful semi private/public course located in Kingsland.  18 holes at 7,260 yards with a par of 72.  Bermuda grass.  The course is located off of Hwy 2342 on the southeast side of Lake LBJ.  

$40 green fees* on weekends

Packsaddle Country Club is located on River Oaks Drive in Kingsland (12 miles from Horseshoe Bay).  This is a public 18 hole golf course course with 7,133 yards, par 72.  The course rating is 73.3 and it has a slope rating of 117 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Leon Howard, the Packsaddle golf course opened in 2006.  20 tee driving range, large practice green, nice practice chipping area.  Walking allowed.  Reasonable green fees starting at $20 on weekdays to walk, $32 to ride; weekends $28 to walk; $40 to ride.

Directions from Horseshoe Bay:  2147 to Highway 71.  Turn right.  Travel about 8 miles and turn right on 2233 (look for a sign on the right that reads "Kingsland / Sunrise Beach").  Travel about 5 miles and turn left on 2900.  Go across the bridge and turn left on River Oaks (look for the Packsaddle Country Club sign on the Beverage Barn on the left side of the road).  Travel about 2-3 miles and turn right on Sky Line.  The course is about 1 mile on the right. 

 
Apple Rock, is a PRIVATE Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course, built in 1986, mentioned in "Best New Resort Course" by Golf Digest. Widely known as one of the most scenic courses in the state, this spectacular course spans 147 acres of the rolling Texas Hill Country along the shores of Lake LBJ.  Situated in high, rocky terrain, offering stunning views of the lake and the Tif-Eagle Bermuda elevated greens are surrounded by 56 sand traps. Offering a dramatic elevation change are back-to-back par 5 holes No. 10 and No. 11 taking golfers from one of the highest points at Cap Rock down to the shores of Lake LBJ in just a few strokes.

 Ram Rock is a PRIVATE course built in 1981 and is infamously known as the "Challenger". Narrow fairways and rolling Crenshaw Bentgrass greens are surrounded by 62 deep bunkers, ten water hazards and natural dry creeks on six holes. Ram Rock received a 4½ star rating from Golf Digest and was named as one of the top 15 courses in the state by Golfweek in 2006.

Slick Rock is a PRIVATE course built in 1971 and designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.  It covers approximately 170 acres, with beautiful hill country views.  With more than 71 sand traps and 12 water hazards, this course is tough but a lot of fun.  The front nine features colorful Texas granite and a magnificent mixture of native trees.  Extensive planting of bamboo and pampas grass adds color and texture to this unforgettable course. Slick Rock is home to Horseshoe Bay Resort’s awe-inspiring “Million Dollar Hole” (No. 14) featuring a winding cart path that takes golfers on a ride through a waterfall that spans more than 35 yards and dumps more than 8,000 gallons of water into Slick Rock creek each minute.  Par 72 ~ Rated: 72.8 ~ Slope 131 ~ Four sets of tees.

HEB for groceries.  One location in Marble Falls (830.693.2677; pharmacy: 830.693.4810), another location in Kingsland.  The HEB in Kingsland is less crowded and has a great produce section.  To get to the HEB in Marble Falls from Horseshoe Bay:  Travel 2147 to 281.  Turn left on 281.  Left on 1431 (towards Kingsland).  The HEB is on the right side of the road.  To get to the HEB in Kingsland, travel 2147 to 71.  Turn right on 71.  Turn right on 2233.  Turn left on 2900.  The HEB is on the left side of the road past the bridge, before Highway 1431.
